The department focuses on translating CAD models into physical systems through precise manufacturing processes, managing critical engineering details to ensure optimal flight dynamics. Key design decisions include a centralized, side-by-side internal battery arrangement for a stable center of gravity, and motors mounted symmetrically along the same horizontal plane for balanced thrust distribution. Beyond the airframe, the team also designs and builds the autonomous payload release mechanism, ensuring reliable, accurate drops during competition missions. The team's overarching objective is to engineer a robust, storm-resistant platform that guarantees dynamic stability, precise payload delivery, and peak structural performance throughout the SUAS competition.
