The Avionics team is responsible for the drone's electrical systems and onboard software, covering everything that allows the aircraft to sense, think, and fly autonomously. On the hardware side, the team manages the flight controller, power distribution, wiring, sensors, and the companion computer, ensuring reliable power delivery and clean signal integrity across every onboard system. On the software side, the team develops autonomous flight logic, mission planning, mapping, obstacle avoidance, and computer vision pipelines used for target detection and payload delivery, alongside the ground control station software used to monitor, command, and visualize mission data from the aircraft. The team's overarching objective is to deliver a stable, intelligent, and fully autonomous flight system capable of meeting the precision and reliability demands of the SUAS competition.
