What was accomplished

●       We tried to make the ground station software setup was built around the dual-monitor MAVProxy configuration, with one software dedicated to flight telemetry and control with ardupilot, and the second software in the loop python code dedicated to live mapping and detection output.

●       Finally we made a the ground station with one laptop but two monitors using the mavproxy approach

●       Ardupilot used to display real-time telemetry, battery status, and detected target coordinates in one consolidated view.

Challenges and solutions

The main challenge was keeping displayed data synchronized without noticeable lag between the flight telemetry view and the mapping/detection view. The team resolved this by optimizing the MAVProxy forwarding rate and reducing unnecessary data logging overhead on the LAN link.

Next steps plan

Integrate live gimbal video and real-time mapping/detection output into the ground station display.
